If you’ve recently had an urge to engage in one of the most sustainable modes of transportation there is whilst checking out the new sustainable features of Capitol Hill, you’re in some very particular luck. Sustainable Seattle is hosting a sustainability walk around Capitol Hill this Saturday, with tours starting at 5, 5:30, and 6:00p.m. The walk will take participants to five sustainability-themed stops, with highlights including an urban communal garden viewing, the “world’s greenest office building” (AKA the Bullitt Center), discussions on storm water management, solar power for your home, how to start your own urban garden, and a look at a new street revitalization project taking place on Melrose Avenue. Check in is at Cal Anderson Park. So if you’ve been feeling the need for your sustainability fix, or you’re just looking for ways to get involved in Seattle’s environmental pursuits, here’s your chance. You’ll be so covered in green by the end of the night, you’ll need to take a (short and cold) shower.
