Northern Lights Headed to Seattle!

northern-lights1_1753909iscience gifWeather forecasters are predicting a temporary expansion of the Aurora Borealis, due to a strong solar flare that shot out of the sun late Tuesday, shaking up the earth’s magnetic field and allowing the northern lights to be seen as far south as Colorado or Illinois. Scientists are expecting much of Canada and the northern U.S. to get a glimpse, including Seattle! The best viewing time is predicted to be this very evening, so remember to look up from your book once in a while tonight and check the sky for any signs of multicolored beauty.
